The Hedemora Diesel engine is a turbo charged medium speed engine with 90° V-cylinder configuration and pre-chamber concept.
The engine was manufactured in two versions, VA-type Ø185 mm bore and VB-type Ø210 mm bore. Both engine versions have the same stroke 210 mm. With cylinder arrangements from V6 up to V18, a nominal speed of 1000-1500 rpm and a power range from 500 kW -- 2700 kW.
The engine is mainly used for offshore and marine application but also as standby emergency power units.
